Scarf lengths

Finally. It feels so good to rescue a WIP from the stalled pile and finish it. The Malabrigo scarf is done. It’s short since I only had one hank, but it’s perfect as a neckwarmer under a coat or jacket.

Yarn is Malabrigo worsted; color is Molly. On the right is the right side of the pattern; on the left is the wrong side. Barbara Walker wrote that both sides are attractive, and now that I’ve knitted the pattern, I agree.
The only reason I was able to finish this project in good spirits is because I translated the written instructions to a simple (non-standard but easy to use) Excel chart and made it visual. After that, the knitting went quickly and was lots more fun. If anyone wants this chart, email me and I’ll send it to you.
From now on, I will convert all small, repetitive patterns to chart form. It’s so much easier for this visually-oriented person.
About a year ago I made another short scarf (again, because I only had one ball of yarn), and I still love it and have gotten lots of wear from it. It doesn’t fall around and get caught in the car door and strangle me like my long scarves do. It’s the Misti Chunky Ribs & Ruffles Scarf.

The yarn is Zara (I only had one ball) and the color is Magenta 1666. Here’s a closer view:
I wear scarves of both lengths—the long scarves for when I want a long vertical line and some flair, and the shorter scarves for those days when I want to keep things manageable and close to the chest—haha.
I had another PET/CT scan last week and will find out the results on Thursday when I see my oncologist.
