Photos of Sahara-in-process:

and…

The second photo is more true to color (”Berry”). This yarn color is intense! (and half price)
The sweater looks tight but feels comfy on. I’m not sure what length of sleeves to make for this. I’m concerned that long sleeves would make for a very hot sweater.
There is a knitted panel that goes in the front of the sweater to cross The Great Divide. I may knit the panel a little larger than called for to make sure there are enough stitches not to pull across the bust too much. The pattern calls for different yarn, but I’ll be using the same yarn as the sweater, Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Wool. (Half price.)
I am recovering from the Relay for Life on Friday night. My daughter was one of the local coordinators of this American Cancer Society event, so my husband and I showed up to walk and participate. It has taken me a while to recover, and I didn’t even stay up all night like most of the participants! I walked as a cancer survivor, but I actually walked in memory of my mom, whom I lost to cancer last year.

Shelters for those resting between laps

Luminaria for my mother . . . and Susan’s brother.

Nice progress on this sweater. I hope mine fits as well as yours!
