Where’s the wool?

Enough with the manmade fibers already! I have been trying to get through some single balls of yarn in my stash lately. I’ve also been knitting some baby items and using acrylic because I wanted to try various patterns out in inexpensive, washable yarns.
But my forearms are in pain and protesting. I’ve completed three baby items now, all out of acrylic. I will save them for three babies to come.
Well, my daughter has claimed the following sweater for a possible future daughter of her own. I love it too much to part with it right now anyway.

Haiku Toddler Sweater, knitted with I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby
After this—in deference to my forearms—I’ll try to find a superwash wool for a reasonable price and use that for baby items.
I also had three balls of Queensland Monte Carlo (polyester & rayon) in three different colorways in my stash and wanted to use them up. In desperation, I paired them with three balls of acrylic yarn to make bias scarves, which worked out quite well. Two of those scarves are completed, and I haven’t begun the last one yet.
Here is Pandora Scarf #1, the original ball of Queensland Monte Carlo and the combination with black yarn:

And the two finished scarves:

Pretty boring, huh? That’s the trouble with stashbusting; sometimes it’s like cleaning house. In this case, it sort of sucked the life out of my knitting.
I still have a third ball of this Monte Carlo (in yet another colorway) in my stash, but I cannot bring myself to deal with it now.
As a result of baby items and bias scarves, I have not touched a natural fiber since finishing the alpaca Clapotis about a week ago. That’s too long. Withdrawal is setting in.
Wicked is still on the needles in lovely Lorna’s Laces worsted. I’ll try that on today and see if the armholes are correct. If so, I’ll carry on with that project and hopefully finish it this time (and not have to rip it out again).
I am eager to start a new sweater or maybe a pair of socks. I have had Wicked languishing OTN for so long, and I need to finish it so I can move on.

The sweater looks good, thanks for posting. I’ve been thinking of making this myself.
