Knitted eggwarmers, anyone?

Non-knitting content: Have to write about this cool webcam. Excel Energy has various bird webcams, and this one is six feet above a bald eagle nest. The mother eagle is incubating three eggs, which are due to hatch in early April.
If you can’t get the streaming video, click on the hour links which will take you to still photos. They are almost as good, maybe better because you can scan through them to see the three eggs visible when the mother gets up briefly.
Well, here’s a teaser, taken from yesterday’s 6pm shots:

Look at that huge nest! I guess it becomes both their bed and playground for a while.
There are photos of mom sitting on the eggs in the snow also. Definitely worth a look, and mark your calendar for early April to see the babies.
I thought the nest might be difficult to watch, as I was under the impression that eaglets are very competitive with each other. But apparently this mom and dad have raised three eaglets to maturity successfully before.
Maybe they are particularly adept at managing sibling rivalry. “The three of you, go roost on different twigs until you can play nice!”
