FO: Dream in Color hat

Another FO! I am blasting away on my knitting with the onset of chillier weather. My one skein of Dream in Color yarn finally arrived in the mail, and I couldn’t wait to get started.
I knitted this k2p2 hat with size 10 needles, casting on 64 stitches, and it knitted up very quickly. My gauge was 3 st = 1″ in the ribbing (stretched). I wanted to see how many rows I could get from one skein, and I ended up using all the yarn with 45 rows (before decreasing). In fact, I decreased a little too early, then frogged the decreased rows, did some calculations, and ended up with only about 18″ of yarn left after binding off. That’s a little too close for comfort, so next time I’ll knit one row less.
Yarn: Dream in Color Fatty; color: Beach Fog. The yarn photographed well and the colors—at least on my monitor—are true.

This was a simple knit. The hat is very stretchy and is comfortable to wear. I love Dream in Color yarn. (I have also knit with DIC Classy [worsted], but not Smooshy yet.) The yarn feels nice under my fingers as I knit, and the color variations are lovely. And it’s washable!

I love that Beach Fog colorway but hadn’t seen DIC Fatty made up yet. Thanks!
