About wordknitter
My maternal grandmother taught me to knit when I was a child. I never followed up on it until recently, when I knit a simple scarf as a meditative way to deal with grief and personal loss. I caught the knitting bug and have been intertwining yarn and needles ever since. There’s something healing and magical about soft, luscious colors running through your fingers and transforming into a comforting and beautiful item.
I live in the Rockies and also enjoy writing, painting, photography, hiking, cycling, gardening, and spirituality. And reading; I’m an avid reader.
I have been married to the same wonderful man for a long time. We have two grown children and share our house with a feisty, happy dog and a pesky, affectionate cat.
